Machining Centers Up and Running in Cordele
June 2007
Cordele, GA – Goldens’-Cordele will begin machining operations at its new facility in Cordele, GA today, with the delivery of two new HM600 OKK machining centers.
“We designed this new foundry to continue our commitment to value-additions, and keeping with our goal to be a single-source resource for our customers, said Conrad Brumbach, Quality Manager. “We are bringing these two new machines online because we already have a need for them with the new casting work we are producing in Cordele, so these machines will hit the ground running.”
The foundry, which began molding and melting operations in the Spring of 2007, will begin running one shift of machining with plans to ramp up to two shifts in the next few months as new jobs begin production.
Future plans include the addition of vertical drilling centers.
Goldens’-Cordele is the sister foundry and machine shop to their Columbus headquarters.
